This term in our Baking Elective, students have been learning new skills while making a range of delicious treats.
We started with classic chocolate chip cookies, focusing on accurate measuring and mixing techniques. Next came rich, fudgy brownies and cinnamon white chocolate cake, followed by buttery shortbread, which we drizzled in chocolate.Students were able to take their baked goods home to share with family, and some of the treats were also enjoyed by staff during afternoon tea. It’s been a fun and rewarding way to build kitchen confidence, with more baking still to come.
